Turns out that when you roll with an inspiring crew collectively set on making rad things, you get to go to some pretty cool places.
Which explains why the Babes Ride Out squad just finished off an epic trip in Iceland. What exactly was our favorite bunch of influential road warriors doing out in the middle of the Atlantic, though? Read on to find out.
After linking up with the talented publishing team at Upshift Online and the local Icelandic Ride with Locals outfit, getting collectively featured in Upshift’s Issue 81, Ashmore, Anya, and the rest of The Babes decided to take advantage of their connections on the land of ice and fire.
This is where Babes Ride Out Iceland comes in. An entirely curated 13-day experience, BRO Iceland was the adventure of a lifetime for 10 lucky riders. With over six days of riding, thermal lagoon dips, and a classic bit of city sightseeing, it was a packed schedule.
A leisurely European road tour this was not, however. Iceland is a very long trip and even with a small group, it can be tricky to manage. If you are the type that needs to control a situation, can’t laugh when things suck, not physically or mentally able to handle a jarring six straight days of rough riding, being on a bike that is a bit too big for them, being soaked and freezing then you might have a very hard time on this style of trip.
Solid riding experience and a good attitude were definitely needed. But the reward for it all? Well, you just need to take a quick glance at some of the photos here to realize this is one of the most unique, gorgeous riding experiences of a lifetime.
We’re stoked to support the Babes Ride Out ladies as they take their road trips across state (and country) lines. And while we know an 805 or Cerveza was probably a little difficult to get a hand on in Iceland, we’re sure you certainly enjoyed some frosty ones.
Thankfully, there were post-customs beers on ice waiting for Ashmore, Anya, and everyone else at Babes Ride Out too. That, and the next stop on the Babes Ride Out tour is right here in our backyard, with Babes Ride Out Central Coast coming around the corner sooner than we know it.
