Conner Coffin grew up in Santa Barbara, California, and since kindergarten he’s been surfing Rincon, where his dad would push him into waves as a grom. From an early age, he saw his heroes in the lineup who paved the way for the surfer he’d become. Now Conner finds himself on the world tour with a chance to win the title.
Surfing has taken Conner all over the world, and he now spends part of his year on Pipeline. His story is one of Central Coast kid turned elite surfer, and we’re stoked to have a local boy join the 805 crew.
“Firestone Walker is part of the landscape where I grew up,” Conner said. “They’re ingrained in this place I call home, and we share a lot of the same values and pursuits. It just feels like the perfect time for me to become a part of the 805 Beer family and see where it takes us.”
The legendary crew around the Santa Barbara area shaped Conner into the right-hand power surfer that he is. Growing up right down the road from Rincon gave him quite the playground to hack into the iconic California point break. Conner was well traveled at a young age, visiting Fiji, Hawaii, and other iconic spots, which gave him a taste of world-class surf and preluded his calling as a WSL pro.
On top of touring the world surfing and competing, Conner finds time to pick up the guitar and record music regularly. The jack of all trades is right at home with the 805 team.
