Last weekend, our friends at Born-Free hit Yellow Rose Canyon, Texas, and it was everything you’d expect: bikes, beers, and a whole lotta good times.

With the late, lingering summer humidity still hanging in the air, Texas brought the heat. But so did the custom rides, attendees, and us.

Let’s highlight some of the winners of the weekend, though. First up, the Best in Show went to a gnarly Knucklehead that was all chrome and attitude. Then there was the Chopper Class winner, which was a long, lean Panhead that made you want to quit your job, grow your hair out, and ride into the sunset… preferably without looking back. And let’s not forget the Builders Choice Award, which was a slick, minimalist Triumph that screamed “less is more” but in the most badass way possible.

Congrats to all the winners, and now let’s get to all the cold ones that went down in between.

So, those other major happenings? Oh, you know, just the usual: a burnout contest, some killer live music, a Hell On Wheels classic, and plenty of people two-stepping around our beer tent.

The weekend wrapped up with bikers hugging it out, promising to ride together soon (but we all know how that goes), and loading up their rigs for the long haul home.

If you weren’t there, no worries, right? You’ll just have to hear about it from everyone who was there for the next six months.

Thanks for having us Born-Free. We’re always stoked to make sure everyone’s stocked up and has all the fuel they need to get through the weekend. And, Texas? Thanks for showing us a killer time. Let’s run it all back again next year.
