To kick off the release of Convergence, our latest original 805 Beer Film, we held an epic premiere party in Huntington Beach.
We usually don’t need an excuse to throw a party with half the surfing world down in Orange County. But this was as good an excuse as any. Plus, with the entirety of the surf world already dipping behind the orange curtain for the US Open of Surfing, the vibes were as good as ever. We had competitors, fans, and friends alike show up for a night that was all about celebrating Authenticos Conner Coffin, Nate Tyler, and Greyson Fletcher, good surfing, and even better times.
Grant Noble, Eithan Osborne, Parker Coffin, Tyler Bereman, Ryan McElmon, Olympic skier Bella Wright, Ryan Howard, plus all our good friends from the World Surf League, are just some of the names of people who turned up to get in on the cold ones and good times. We couldn’t have asked for a better group to party with.
With an outdoor venue just steps from the sand, everyone was able to enjoy the sunset with an 805 or Cerveza in hand. Once the sun dipped beneath the Pacific and the natural lighting dimmed, Nate, Conner, and director Perry Gerkshow took the stage for a few words of thanks. Then it was time to fire up the projectors, raise the volume, and stoke the crowd out. The packed house couldn’t help themselves from hooting and cheering at almost every scene, and the vibes were at an all-time high even before the credits started rolling. Once the film ended everyone stuck around for a full night of icy beers, groovy tunes, and good times.
We followed it all up the next day by premiering Convergence to the public with our good friends at Inherent Bummer at their Factory By The Sea. For context, Inherent Bummer dialled in a Pacific City in Huntington Beach with live music, art installations, local bites, our bevvies, movie showings, and good times. Imagine Andy Warhold’s Factory only if you swapped New York City’s concrete for somewhere with golden sand, blue water, and a cooler full of cold ones. And imagine if he decided to actually make it a good time too. But we couldn’t have been more stoked to pal up with our friends at Inherent Bummer for it all. We’re already looking forward to throwing more epic parties with them here in the very near future.
We want to give a huge shout-out to everyone who came out. And if you haven’t checkout out Convergence yet, you can stream it on our YouTube channel now. Find your biggest screen, grab a cold one out of the fridge, and play it loud. You won’t regret it, we promise.
